Aizkraukle, the city by the Daugava River, became the epicenter of Large scale radio controlled model racing last weekend, attracting enthusiasts from across the Baltics.

This season's inaugural event held here wasn't just the beginning of the racing series; it was also an excellent opportunity for participants from Latvia and Lithuania to showcase their skills and compete in a friendly atmosphere.

The races took place on prepared and adapted asphalt surfaces to ensure optimal conditions for both the models and their drivers.

Competitors raced in multiple classes, with winners determined in each.

The atmosphere was electric, with each race promising unbeatable intrigue and technical finesse.

Despite the intensity of the races, mutual respect and sportsmanship prevailed among the participants, demonstrating that this event is more than just about winning; it's also about building community and exchanging experiences between neighboring countries.

Vytautas Agliniskis said: "The first stage of this year took place on an asphalt surface, which is rare. Additionally, the dust made it slippery and unpredictable, but throughout the day, we could adapt to the track configuration and choose the right and fastest trajectories for both entering and exiting corners. The day was hot in every sense, as the competition for the top spot was fierce and demanded maximum concentration to win. Thanks to the organizers for creating this track, and it's great to see the motivation in attracting new participants. I look forward to the next stage, which promises to be even more exciting with new participants."

The Large scale radio controlled model races in Aizkraukle have become an annual event that not only promotes technical sports but also brings together enthusiasts of all ages.
