This pull start assembly includes a plastic claw. It is compatible with most 1/5th scale engines, making it a versatile replacement. The hole centers measure approximately 66mm horizontally and vertically, and 95mm diagonally.

2-stroke pullstarters are not covered under warranty for any damage caused by improper use or lack of maintenance. To ensure optimal performance and prevent damage, customers must follow the correct starting procedure and maintenance guidelines.

Correct Starting Procedure (as outlined in our Starter Guide):

• Turn choke ON – Red/Black lever on the side of the carburettor should be in the vertical position.

• Gently pull the starter cord a few times to draw fuel into the engine.

• Give a short, firm pull to attempt to start the engine.

  • Do NOT pull the cord out fully – this will damage the pullstarter.

• Once the engine attempts to start, turn the choke OFF (horizontal position).

• Pull the starter again (typically 3–4 pulls) to start the engine.

  • A small amount of throttle via the butterfly lever (which the idle screw rests against) may help.

• If the engine does not start after 6–7 pulls, stop to avoid flooding the engine (a flooded engine can cause excessive strain on the pullstart) 

Warranty will be void if damage is caused by:

• Overextending the pullstarter cord.

• Failing to keep screws tight between runs.

• Allowing dirt, debris, or lack of cleaning to cause internal damage.

• Excessive or forceful starting attempts.
