They are designed to be much stronger than their predecessors and encapsulate the shock - no more bent shock screws. This is very important with all the new stronger shocks entering the market. This mount still uses the tried and proven 4-point mounting system that has been so succesful with the Phatdaddy and Skinnydaddy mounts.
