Kraken-RC High Strength Clipless Layshaft
Kraken's layshaft is specially designed for full mod and long rod engines use. Geometrically
beefier than stock, this layshaft will take all the abuse and all high RPMs you can throw on
it. Made out of High Strength Milt-Spec Stainless Steel.
Note: The end bolt no longer includes the "pirate" engraving.
Features:
In order to use this Layshaft you must use the HPI Racing Drive Gear Part Number: HPI-86486.
If you use a non-HPI gear, it may be slightly taller than the HPI-86486. This extra height can block the groove where the e-clip is meant to sit, making it impossible to secure the gear properly.
To use another brands gear, you'll need to modify the top of the gear, by machining or sanding it down so that the e-clip groove on the layshaft becomes accessible again.
