The 1972 Chevrolet® K5 Blazer gets the full High Trail treatment with a big, lifted stance and beautifully detailed body. The factory-installed Long Arm Lift Kit boosts the Blazer’s ground clearance by more than an inch with larger 2.2″ wheels and tires to conquer the roughest terrain. K5 Blazer High Trail Edition delivers more of what you crave—extreme all-terrain capability, stunning scale looks, and Traxxas-Tough™ durability.

High Trail Edition

Large 2.2″ chrome mag wheels and Canyon Trail tires tame even the most technical trails to extend your scale adventures farther than ever before. The factory-installed Long Arm Lift Kit raises K5 Blazer over an inch taller for superior ground clearance.

Detailed Replica Body

The TRX-4 K5 Blazer faithfully reproduces one of the most iconic Chevy trucks to ever hit the trail. Bright chrome accents contrast the high-gloss paint for an unmistakable look. The injection-moulded grille, side mirrors, and simulated wood trim give K5 Blazer an uncompromising scale presence.

Clipless Body Mounting

The clipless body’s hidden latching system gives K5 Blazer High Trail Edition clean, flowing lines for a new level of scale realism and convenience. On the trail, K5 Blazer’s clipless body holds tight when you need it, but releases in just seconds to access the chassis.

Factory-Installed Lift Kit

K5 Blazer High Trail Edition’s factory-installed lift kit and oversize tires add over an inch of trail-conquering ground clearance. Extended 110mm GTS shocks deliver silky-smooth damping performance with greater wheel articulation for increased off-road capability. Extended steel links and a revised servo mount maintain TRX-4’s superior suspension geometry.

Scale Details

Injection moulded parts elevate Blazer’s scale detail with a deep inset front grille and chrome bumpers with coloured lenses. The chrome side trim features simulated wood inserts for period-correct authenticity with side markers, wipers, and chrome side mirrors for maximum visual impact. The 8-hole chrome mag wheels are designed in exacting detail for perfect scale proportions.

Clipless Body Mounting

K5 Blazer’s clipless body mounts hold tight on the trail but release in seconds. An invisible quick-release system secures the body without interrupting its clean lines with body posts and clips.

Oversize 2.2″ Wheels & Tires

Aggressive S1-compound Canyon Trail tires feature large lugs for increased grip and 2-stage foam inserts for realistic trail performance. The tires come mounted and glued to large 2.2″ chrome mag wheels. Detailed replica locking hubs conceal the wheel nuts for a cleaner look.

TRX-4 Capability

K5 Blazer High Trail Edition comes loaded with award-winning TRX-4 features like portal axles, remote-operated T-Lock™ differentials, High/Low 2-speed transmission, aluminium GTS shocks, and a steel ladder frame; with the added benefit of higher ground clearance.

The Power of Portals

K5 Blazer’s portal axles work in tandem with the Long-Arm Lift Kit to lift the truck for huge centre ground clearance. With over 2 inches of clearance under the centre pumpkin, K5 Blazer climbs over obstacles that would snag other trucks. Internal gear reduction virtually eliminates torque twist, keeping the truck straight and on course.

Rigid Steel Frame

A heavy-duty formed-steel ladder frame with moulded cross members creates an extremely rigid backbone. You’ll feel the difference on trails when navigating technical terrain.

3S Power System

The XL-5 HV electronic speed control brings 3S LiPo capability for strong efficient running. The powerful 21T Titan® motor provides torque for hauling heavy loads and climbing steep grades. This efficient system provides exceptional run time with a Traxxas 3S 5000mAh iD LiPo battery pack. (Part #2872X not included)

TQi Radio System

The 4-channel TQi radio system unlocks exclusive TRX-4 features such as the remote operation of the 2-speed transmission and the T-lock locking differentials. The TQi also adds cruise control to set and maintain your travel speed for long haul comfort as well as 30-model memory to control your entire Traxxas fleet. You can even customise settings via smartphone with the #6511 Wireless Module (sold separately).

Waterproof Electronics

K5 Blazer High Trail Edition shrugs off mud, snow, and streams with its waterproof electronics. The speed control and servos are waterproof, and the receiver is fully protected by a watertight enclosure. Like all TRX-4 models, Blazer delivers all-season, all-weather adventure.
